Clearly earning up his frequent flyer points, Rosemont Stud’s new stallion Starspangledbanner has arrived back in Australia after his second European tour of duty, so to speak…
Currently in quarantine at Eastern Creek in New South Wales, Choisir’s four-time G1 winner will arrive at Rosemont Stud on July 13 and appointments can be made to inspect the impressive chestnut from July 15.
Foaled and raised on the river flats and hills of the farm, his life journey has been extraordinary.

In the ownership of Coolmore, Starspangledbanner travelled to Europe, winning the G1 Golden Jubilee at Royal Ascot, before then proving unstoppable in the English summer going on and defeating some of the best in the world in the G1 July Cup, resulting in the cracking chestnut being crowned Europe’s top sprinter.
Defeating the likes of G1 winners Irish Lights, Manhattan Rain, So You Think, Denman, Headway, Duporth, Wanted, Eagle Falls, Weekend Hussler, Turffontein, All Silent, Light Fantastic, Nicconi, El Segundo, Shellscrape, War Artists, Society Rock, Kinsale King, Fleeting Spirit, Marchand d’Or, Alverta, Equinao, Kingsgate Native and Borderlescott to name but a few, Starspangledbanner was not only Crowned Champion Sprinter in Australia, but in Europe as well.

Having already spent one season at stud, the 60 foals produced from those covers have had tongues wagging in both hemispheres and proved that, if fertile, he was to be a stallion of significant importance in the years to come.
