Éclair Big Bang a Premier boost for Rosemont Stud

After the success a few weeks back of the Phillip Stokes-trained Éclair Big Bang in the Group Three Caulfield Guineas Prelude, all at Rosemont Stud are excited as they will consign the Exceed And Excel half-sister at the 2014 Inglis Premier Yearling Sale on behalf of breeder Jason Abrahams.

Pictured as a foal, the filly is currently at farm in the Hunter Valley before she heads down to Rosemont Stud, and has been described as “very athletic with a great attitude and plenty of muscle.”

Set to start in the Group One Caulfield Guineas on Saturday, a victory by the Savabeel gelding Éclair Big Bang could really boost the pedigree of the yearling filly.

Already the winner of three of his four starts, his only defeat to date came when finishing hard for third in the Group Two Danehill Stakes behind Charlie Boy, a colt he defeated with ease in the Guineas Prelude.

As the Champion sire of the 2012/13 Racing Season, Exceed And Excel looks to have another leading contender this season in three-year-old filly Guelph, a dual Group One winner as a two-year-old, she has returned bigger and stronger this season and from three starts this time in the filly has secured a Group Two victory as well as taking out the Group One Flight Stakes last start.

So the pairing of a Champion Sire and a half-relation to Group Three winner, who could possibly be Group One winner has all very excited.

Best of luck to breeder Jason Abrahams with Éclair Big Bang in the Group One Caulfield Guineas, and we thank him for giving Rosemont Stud the opportunity to consign such a quality filly.
