It won’t just be ‘two legged toffs’ making their way to the Gold Coast next month for the 2015 Magic Millions Yearling Sale.
Brilliant dual Group I winning sprinter Toorak Toff was plucked from the Magic Millions sale ring in 2009 for $135,000 by wily trainer Rick Hore-Lacy, so it’s only fitting to see one of Queensland’s favourite sons poised to make a splash at the same venue.
A big handsome chestnut by champion Queensland sire Show a Heart, Toorak Toff is one of the last commercial Star Kingdom (IRE) line sires and for that reason many would like to see him succeed.
A precocious stakes-winning juvenile that trained on at three to win the Group I ATC Golden Rose, Toorak Toff later added the Group I MRC Sir Rupert Clark Stakes to his resume at four proving his speed and class at the elite level over three seasons.
The foundation stallion for Rosemont Stud in Victoria, Toorak Toff has been well supported at a fee of $16,500 and has eight entries for Magic Millions, six of them, for Rosemont.
